What is the Chamber?
The Star City Area Chamber, Inc. (non-profit organization) is organized for the purpose of affording the residents and citizens of the Star City area, a channel, and organization, through which they may by their cooperative effect improve the citizens of the area; develop the economic condition, and promote the health and general welfare, of the citizens in the area; develop and improve the commercial, industrial and cultural activities of the community; assure the provisions of adequate educational and recreational facilities for the community; encourage the beautification of the community, and the improvement of all aspects of living conditions there in.
What Does the Chamber Offer You?
Relocation Packets
Relocation packets are sent out to new residents and businesses through Internet contacts. These packets contain information about Lincoln County as well as information on Chamber members. If you have items you would like us to include in our packet, please bring them by the office. Items should be in paper form and not too bulky.
Job Announcements
Members can send us job announcements which will be posted on our website and facebook.
Website
Your business is listed on our website, and if applicable, your website is linked to your name. Our site is also used to make community announcements on upcoming area events, such as seminars, ribbon cuttings, festivals, celebrations and school happenings. We invite you to take advantage of this great advertising tool.
Ribbon Cuttings
Ribbon cuttings for new businesses are arranged, along with a picture in the local newspaper, which helps bring awareness to the community about you and your products.
Special Events
We are always striving hard to bring events to our community. The Chamber Board is always willing to do its part—our theory is that if we bring people to our communities through various events, they will spend money, which will in turn help our Chamber members prosper.
Projects
The Chamber continually looks for ways to boost community spirit.
Beautification
We work closely with several groups to enhance the appearance of our community.
Networking
In order to provide chamber members the opportunity to visit and share business ideas, we host an annual Chamber Banquet and a membership outing each year. We also encourage networking through Business After Hours and other community events.
Referrals
We receive numerous phone calls every day for referrals of different types of businesses; however, we only refer our Chamber members!
We want you to join us in this effort, and since we are fully funded by memberships, we really need your help to continue our work.
